Terms of Service
Last updated: May 24, 2026
By using Thinknotes, you agree to these terms. They're short. Please read them.
1. The service
Thinknotes is a voice-first note app that uses AI to transcribe and structure the things you say into organized notes. The service is provided as-is, and we do our best to keep it running, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Thinknotes. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. If someone else accesses your account using your credentials, that's on you.
3. Your content
You own everything you record and create in Thinknotes. We don't claim any rights to your notes, transcripts, or derived content. We only process them to make the app work for you (see our Privacy Policy for details).
You're responsible for the content you create. Don't record or store anything that violates someone else's rights, is illegal, or that you don't have permission to capture.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Thinknotes for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse our APIs or infrastructure
- Record audio of people without their consent in jurisdictions where consent is required
- Use the service to harm, harass, or defraud others
- Resell or repackage the service without our written permission
5. AI-generated content
Thinknotes uses third-party AI services to transcribe your voice and structure your notes. AI output can be imperfect — transcripts may contain errors, categorizations may be wrong, and synthesized content may misinterpret what you said. We don't guarantee accuracy. Use your judgment.
6. Subscriptions and pricing
Thinknotes may offer paid features in the future. If you subscribe, the pricing and billing terms will be presented before you commit. You can cancel a subscription at any time through your platform's billing settings (Google Play, App Store, etc.).
7. Termination
You can stop using Thinknotes any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
8. Disclaimers
Thinknotes is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Thinknotes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
